FAQs

Are flavoured condoms safe?

Flavoured condoms (also known as oral sex condoms, tongue condoms, or oral condoms) are safe to use orally and are encouraged to be used at all times. But using them for vaginal or anal penetration is not safe at all. Since sugar is used to make the flavours used on the condoms, it can lead to yeast infections in the vagina, as the sugar can disrupt the normal pH balance in the vagina.

How do I use flavoured condoms?

You use flavoured condoms just like regular condoms, putting them on your penis slowly and gently. The only difference is that you do not use it for vaginal penetration, just for oral sex.

Are flavoured condoms effective for preventing pregnancy and STIs?

Flavoured condoms are just as effective in preventing pregnancy and STIs as regular condoms, as they are made the same way as regular condoms—of course, except for adding flavour. But, as there is an added sugar-based flavour added to oral sex condoms, they should not be used for vaginal penetration and be limited to blowjobs only.

Can flavoured condoms be used during oral sex?

Yes, flavoured condoms, without a doubt, are used during oral sex and are manufactured just to be used during oral sex. These oral sex condoms offer exclusive protection from orally transmitted STDs and STIs and add spice to your regular blowjobs.

Can flavoured condoms cause allergies?

Yes, in case you have allergies to any of the components of the condom that you are using, be it the flavouring element, lubricant, or the condom material itself, you will have allergic reactions immediately upon use. You may experience itching, inflammation, and discomfort if you use such condoms. It is advised to check the condom components before using them. In case you use a condom unknowingly and show such symptoms, remove it immediately.
